The Greater Los Angeles REALTORS^® association is committed to raising the level of professionalism among our members and in the real estate profession. As REALTORS^®, our members are held to a higher standard of conduct via the REALTOR^® Code of Ethics and our Professional Standards process to ensure ethical behavior and fair treatment of the public, clients, and fellow REALTORS^®.

The association puts this commitment into action through a robust program of continuing education and professional development for our members, adherence to the REALTOR^® Code of Ethics and administering a professional standards program to resolve complaints.

The REALTOR^® Code of Ethics is at the core of everything we do as an association.

The National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR) Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS^® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests.

REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training upon becoming a member, and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline.
