Professionalism
The Greater Los Angeles REALTORS® association is committed to raising the level of professionalism among our members and in the real estate profession. As REALTORS®, our members are held to a higher standard of conduct via the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and our Professional Standards process to ensure ethical behavior and fair treatment of the public, clients, and fellow REALTORS®.
The association puts this commitment into action through a robust program of continuing education and professional development for our members, adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and administering a professional standards program to resolve complaints.
REALTOR® Code of Ethics
The REALTOR® Code of Ethics is at the core of everything we do as an association.
The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests.
