GLAR Award Member Recognition
C.A.R. Honorary – Member-for-Life
Achieving Honorary Member-for-Life status is a distinguished recognition for long-standing members of the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.). Eligible REALTOR® members must have been active C.A.R. members for at least 25 years and be 75 years of age or older at the time of submission. Upon approval, their State Association dues will be deemed paid in full for life, beginning the year following approval, while retaining all rights and privileges of State Association membership.
All applications must be submitted online by association staff members only.
The current deadline for Honorary member for life applications is September 5, 2025.
NAR REALTOR® Emeritus
REALTOR® Emeritus is a prestigious recognition for long-standing members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). To qualify, a REALTOR® Member must have held membership in NAR as a REALTOR® or REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® (or both) for a cumulative period of 40 years and must have completed at least one year of service at the national level.
Eligible service includes roles such as NAR officer, director, committee member, Federal Political Coordinator, Global Ambassador, or Global Coordinator to a country with which NAR holds a reciprocal agreement.
Please note: Applications for REALTOR® Emeritus status can only be submitted by the local association on behalf of the requesting member.
The current deadline for NAR REALTOR Emeritus® applications is April 2, 2025.
