C.A.R. Honorary – Member-for-Life

C.A.R. Honorary is a C.A.R. program that allows us to submit our members for approval by the C.A.R. Board of Directors at the FALL C.A.R. Meeting.

On approval, the state association dues are waived for life and shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of C.A.R. Association accorded to all members. However, to retain Honorary status, Honorary members for life must maintain their local and national association memberships.

The qualifications for Honorary member for life require you to be seventy five (75) years of age or older and have been a C.A.R. member for a minimum of twenty-five (25) years.

REALTOR® Emeritus

REALTOR® Emeritus is an NAR program that allows us to submit our members for consideration by the NAR Board of Directors twice a year (May and November) for approval as an NAR REALTOR® Emeritus.

Once approved, starting the following year the REALTOR® Emeritus is waived from the NAR dues count as well as the obligation to take the NAR COE course every three years.

The qualification for REALTOR® Emeritus requires forty (40) years of REALTOR® membership as well as at least one (1) year of service at the National Association level.

* “Service” is defined as serving as an officer, director, committee member, federal political coordinator, President’s liaison, or regional coordinator to a country with which NAR holds a reciprocal agreement.
