Turning Member Feedback Into Strategic Action

Engage 360 is a GLAR outreach initiative designed to bring real member feedback directly into the leadership conversations that shape our Association’s future.

As a GLAR volunteer leader, your role is to help start that conversation. By meeting with members one-on-one, you will help GLAR better understand what members are experiencing in the market, what challenges are impacting their business, how connected they feel to the Association, and what programs, offerings, and resources would be most valuable moving forward.

Your participation is essential. These conversations can surface insight that surveys alone may miss and help GLAR identify emerging trends, member pain points, innovation opportunities, and future priorities for programming, advocacy, communications, and strategic planning.

How You Can Help Launch Engage 360

You are asked to meet with three GLAR members by July 10, either in person, by phone, or via Zoom. Using the guided interview questions, you’ll help GLAR better understand member experiences, business needs, market concerns, perceptions of the Association, and ideas for the future.

After each conversation, please complete the Engage 360 recap form so feedback can be compiled into broader themes for leadership discussion.

Who Should You Interview?

You are encouraged to connect with a varied group of GLAR members, including members who may not currently be highly engaged with the Association.

Suggested members to interview include:

  • “Dues-only” members who are not actively involved
  • Minimally engaged members
  • Top producers or team leaders
  • Managing brokers or office managers
  • Part-time REALTORS®
  • High-profile or emerging agents
  • Newer members or members with fresh perspectives

The goal is to hear from a broad cross-section of the membership.

Once you have completed your interview, please let us know by completing the ENGAGE 360 INTERVIEW RECAP

GLAR is conducting Engage 360 interviews to better understand what members are experiencing in the market, what challenges are affecting their businesses, and how the Association can better serve members moving forward.

These conversations will help bring real member feedback into GLAR’s leadership discussions, strategic planning, future programming, communications, advocacy priorities, and member offerings.

Your role is to conduct one-on-one conversations with three GLAR members, ask the provided Engage 360 interview questions, and submit a brief recap after each meeting.

You are not expected to have all the answers or solve every concern raised during the conversation. Your role is to listen, ask thoughtful follow-up questions when helpful, and help GLAR better understand what members are experiencing.

Each participating volunteer leader is asked to complete three member interviews by July 10.

Interviews may be conducted in person, by phone, or via Zoom. In-person meetings are encouraged when possible, such as coffee, an office visit, or another casual setting. However, phone and Zoom interviews are perfectly acceptable if they are more convenient for you or the member.

The Engage 360 interview questions are designed to better understand the member’s experience with GLAR and the Greater Los Angeles real estate market. You can review the full list of questions here.

Questions may cover topics such as:

  • Their perception of GLAR and how connected they feel to the Association
  • Which GLAR programs, services, or resources they currently use
  • Business challenges they are facing in the local market
  • Local policy or industry issues affecting their work
  • What would make GLAR events, committees, or communications more valuable
  • How they prefer to receive information from GLAR
  • What future programs, training, services, or resources would have the greatest impact on their business

There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is to create a candid conversation and capture honest member feedback.

Please try to connect with a varied group of GLAR members. This may include members who are highly engaged, but it is especially valuable to hear from members who are less involved or who may not regularly attend GLAR events, committees, or programs.

A broader mix of voices will give GLAR a clearer and more useful picture of member needs.

After each interview, please complete the Engage 360 interview recap form at:

SUBMIT ENGAGE 360 INTERVIEW RECAP

The recap form will help GLAR compile feedback, identify trends, and bring key themes into leadership and strategic planning discussions.

Feedback gathered through Engage 360 will be reviewed and compiled to identify common themes, trends, challenges, and opportunities. These insights may help inform GLAR’s strategic planning, leadership discussions, future programming, advocacy focus, member communications, and overall member value.

The goal is to better understand what members need from GLAR now and in the future.

Please review the Engage 360 questions before your meeting and make sure you have access to the interview form or recap process. Beyond that, no formal preparation is required.

The most important thing you can bring is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to listen carefully.

That is completely fine. You are not expected to answer every question or resolve every issue during the interview. If a member raises a specific concern, please include it in your recap so GLAR staff and leadership can review it as part of the broader feedback process.
