Thank you for your interest in joining the Greater Los Angeles REALTORS®. Please note that the calendar year for REALTOR® membership is January 1st – December 31st, no matter what month you join the association.

Annual dues for existing members will always be due on or before December 31st for the upcoming new year.

All membership applications are processed in the order they are received between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please allow 2-3 business days for membership staff to complete your application.

Licensed salesperson joining GLAR. Your broker must be a member of this association in order for you to join.

Licensed broker of record for an office.

If you are an existing Broker with GLAR or have recently obtained your Brokers license and would like to update your member profile with your own independent office please email [email protected] with the office details. A new application or member change form is not required.

The mission of the affiliate program is to provide excellent service and support to the REALTOR® members of the Greater Los Angeles REALTORS®.

Affiliate members are real estate owners, and other individuals or firms engaged in activities related to the real estate profession, who do not qualify for REALTOR® membership. Affiliate members CANNOT have an active real estate license.

Membership Change Forms

This is required and must be filled out if a salesperson is transferring to another real estate brokerage.

This form must be filled out if a member needs to update a change of address, name, phone number or email address.

This form must be turned in to GLAR if a salesperson is no longer employed with the brokerage. The information must also be updated with the Department of Real Estate through e-licensing at www.dre.ca.gov or by filling out form RE214 (for licensed agents) or form RE214A (for restricted licensees) and mailing it to the Department of Real Estate. Termination Forms must be submitted to [email protected].

Designated REALTOR® Compliance Forms

All Compliance Forms must be submitted to the GLAR team at [email protected]. (To be filled out by broker or office manager ONLY)

This form must be filled out and signed by the Designated REALTOR® if he/she is certifying a licensee as a referral agent only. Please note that all LFRO are solely engaged in referring clients and customers ONLY and are not engaged in listing, selling, leasing, renting, managing, counseling, appraising, or arranging financing for real property and are NOT participants or subscribers in any MLS. All referral agents MUST reside in a separate legally recognized business, or entity, from the main brokerage.

This form must be filled out and signed by the Designated REALTOR® if he/she is certifying a licensee as a Mortgage Loan Originator ONLY. Please note that to be classified as an MLO, all licensees must have an MLO license or endorsement with the Bureau of Real Estate, are not engaged in real estate licensed activities except those for which an MLO is required and are not participants or subscribers in any MLS.

Non-Member Sales Person Fee (NMSP fee) – The broker of record may pay the Non-Member Sales Person assessment fee of $524 for each agent who is working in the office and will not become a member of the association. Please note that this fee does NOT give the licensee REALTOR® membership or access to any benefits. You may fill out a credit card authorization form or contact the membership department at 310-967-8800 to make a payment by phone.

Other Important Membership Forms

Secondary members and association transfer members MUST include a letter of good standing. You may request a letter of good standing by sending an email request to your current/previous Association. Please include your first and last name as well as your membership number. Please indicate the email address that you would like to receive your letter of good standing.
