This year is an important election year, where many critical races will be taking place with the potential to alter the political landscape and impact your business transactions in our region.

Over the last couple of weeks, the Greater LA REALTORS® (GLAR) Government Affairs Committee (GAC) has been hard at work meeting with and interviewing candidates to endorse in the upcoming November 5th General Election.

GLAR endorses candidates who best fit the pillars of the REALTOR® PARTY in protecting small businesses, increasing housing production, increasing homeownership opportunities and protecting private property rights.

We want to put all of this hard work to good use to help inform and advocate our members through our voter guides. We have produced voter guides to inform you on GLAR endorsed candidates and a positions on local ballot measures. We urge you to share our guide with your personal AND professional networks to help mobilize the Real Estate industry to get out the vote!

One candidate that GLAR is urging members to vote for is Nathan Hochman for LA County District Attorney. Our GAC members analyzed the issues and policy implications on how the propositions & ballot measures will impact real estate.

After thorough discussion the GAC votes to make a recommendation to our Board. Our Board makes the final decision for GLAR to take – or not take – an official position on a local ballot proposition.
