Wildfire Relief Applications Now Open

Wildfire relief funds from the NAR REALTORS® Relief Foundation and the C.A.R. Disaster Relief Fund are open for applications as of Monday, February 10th. Both programs are both being administered through C.A.R.
Please have documents such as proof of property loss, proof of property ownership or rental leases available, and anything such as a police or fire department report, insurance company letter, or photos to document your losses and need for relief funds.
C.A.R.’s Disaster Relief REALTOR® Member Grant Program is intended for California REALTOR® members and their staff who have suffered losses due to the wildfires. It offers grants of up to $10,000 to help our fellow REALTORS® recover from natural disasters. Grant funding can be used to cover expenses for rebuilding, paying for shelter while you rebuild, and other expenses as a result of a disaster. Brokerage employees who have been impacted may also apply for the program.
NAR’s REALTORS® Relief Fund is offering grants of up to $1,000 to households impacted by the fires to cover housing-related costs in the wake of the wildfires. This grant program is open to any U.S. citizen or those legally admitted for residence to the U.S. in wildfire impacted regions in Southern California. While smaller, these grants are open to a much larger pool of individuals, so it may be a great resource to share with your clients. These grants can be used towards mortgage payment assistance, rental assistance, or to cover hotel reimbursement. $1,000,000 in RRF grant funding has been made available in total.
